In the Nunciature there is a chapel named “Transfiguration of the Lord”, which is open to everybody.

The Holy See – Turkmenistan - The beginning of diplomatic relations

 

The first Apostolic Nuncio Archbishop Pier Luigi Celata entrusted official document to the government of Turkmenistan in July 1997.

 

On the 10th October 1997 in Turkmenistan started their serving Priests Andrzej Madej and Rodoslav Zmitrovich, first catholic priests for the last 80 years.

 

In the Jubilee Year 2000 the pilgrimage group from Turkmenistan participated at Worldwide Meeting of Youth in Italy and had an opportunity to meet the Pope John Paul II

 

In the year 2000 in honor of Great Jubilee of Christianity there was organized the concert of Classical Music in a hall of National Conservatory with some participants from Turkmenistan.

 

In the year 2002 the group of youth took part in World Youth Meeting in Toronto and in 2005 in Cologne.
